I felt like I was drowning… Working with MDH, I get so much positive feedback, celebrating the wins and achievements I don’t get that anywhere else in my life.”

What pain or frustration were you feeling before you started working with MDH?

“I felt like I was drowning. Not a lot of people understand what it’s like running a business. People like to make suggestions and give advice, but that’s the easy part. Getting the support you need to make recommendations a reality is what was missing and that’s what I’ve discovered working with Michael.

People in my life see me stressed, and working 24/7. Understandably, they question if it’s worth it, but that’s because they don’t see the whole picture. Working with MDH, I get so much positive feedback, celebrating the wins and achievements – I don’t get that anywhere else in my life.”

How did you feel when you chose to work with Michael and the MDH team?

“I had never had an accountant before. Finance is completely new to me and it’s reassuring to know someone is taking care of everything. An accountant is the extra support I need for tax and payroll, etc. but, MDH do much more than that for me.”

What changes have you made since working with MDH?

“I feel I am more confident in how I approach things. I’ve learned my two contradictory personality traits and how to apply them to the business and use them to my advantage.

The monthly one-to-one session is my moment of clarity. I can talk about anything. It’s more than just business coaching. We discuss my emotions, and how I truly feel about the business and life in general.”

What results have you seen?

“Massive results. I’m not scared to do things anymore. I know that I can be a good person, a good manager, AND get the results I’m looking for in the business. Without MDH, I know I wouldn’t have grown to operate in multiple venues so quickly.”

If you had to choose one thing that you’ve worked on with MDH, what has made the biggest difference?

“One-on-one sessions, for sure. Just having somebody there who understands is huge. I know MDH want to see me do well, they give me the support and advice I need, and challenge me to take the tough actions. Recently I had to let a team member go; it was hard, but the right thing for the business.

I am often so focused on ‘the next thing’ I forget to stop and acknowledge my achievements. It’s one of the best things about my one-on-one sessions, I recognise what I’m doing well, and I get advice on what could be improved.”

You’ve made a lot of changes, how has that made you feel?

“I feel good. I am more confident. I know I wouldn’t be where I am without the extra push and focus MDH has given me.

I’m less stressed for sure.”

What would you say to anyone looking to change their accountant or business coach to MDH?

“Just do it. It will be one of the best decisions you make. Get the one-on-one sessions, they will help a lot. It can be lonely and scary running a business, it’s reassuring to be able to talk to professionals without criticism or judgement. It has made me a better manager and business owner.

Even though I’m based hundreds of miles away there are no restrictions, I get the support I need when I need it.”

Working with MDH, how radically has it changed your future goals?

“It’s drastically changed them. I have set realistic goals and a stretch goal to strive for. My goals are on paper, now.

MDH understand what I’m going through and see my potential. The team see my progression more than I see it in myself. It’s honest feedback and I am really thankful for MDH.”
